I'll be continuing my lack of posts for a little while longer. We're making our final push to be out of Newark this weekend. I'll pick it back up once I hook up the interwebs in Philly. Can't hardly wait to get back to normal life.
The death count in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is close to 200, if not already there. What's interesting is that the major story in the US news today was that GW cussed about the crisis.
My friends, please allow me to state the obvious: there will be 200 empty seats around dinner tables tomorrow. We didn't really grasp this fact and instead hyper-focused on the fact that the most powerful man in the world said a bad word. That's fucked up.
Thanks for all the kind words and support about our upcoming purchase and move to Philadelphia. Don't forget that you can help us get there by bidding on an exciting item at our virtual yard sale. New old stuff is being added all the time -- so check back often! Hope you enjoyed your Fourth. My hands still smell like gunpowder.
We put an offer in on the house that contains these doors. Keep your fingers crossed. UPDATE: Our offer was accepted. We should be in Fishtown sometime in August! Update #2: There's a little tour of the place on my flickr stream. If you see a project you'd like to work on, submit your proposals via e-mail. All projects will begin on or after July 29.
I'm doing something quite odd this evening and I thought I'd take a minute out of my activity to fill you in on the eccentricities and behaviors founded in antiquity that happen around the spider hole known as villa villa holaolah--I am sitting at the kitchen table, reading yesterday's newspaper.
After I finish my paper I think I will read a book*.
