Last week I asked you to pray for my friend Ruth Thomas who was dying of cancer. Ruth found peace late Friday Morning. Please continue to pray for her family during this tough time. Here is a link to Ruth's obituary that appeared in today's Lancaster Intelligencer Journal.
Ruth taught me a lot about grace and hope through the way she lived her life despite her illness. She was always more concerned for others than herself. She also had a great sense of humor and always found a way to tease me about something. I'm growing a pretty scraggly beard right now and just know that if she were here to see it she'd say, "What's up with your patches? Did you miss some spots shaving and just decide to call it quits?"
Good night Ruth, we miss you.
Requiescat in pace

Thanks for this Ryan. I've been too drained this week to post about Ruth but I so agree with everything you say. She taught me so much about grace in suffering. She was such a huge encouragement to me this past year as I struggled myself.
